The Analyst’s Intelligence Dashboard combines the facility threat posture, the queue of open Threat Assessment cases, and a recent-events feed into a single common-operating-picture surface. The Intel Timeline page is its narrative companion — the same data, plotted against time, with rich filtering for after-action review and case-building.

What it does

  • Surfaces the facility threat level (CALM / ELEVATED / HIGH / CRITICAL) along with the contributing signals so the shift commander knows not just the level, but why.
  • Lists open Threat Assessment cases with severity, age, owner, and the last meaningful event on each case.
  • Streams a recent-events feed — keyword hits, BLE geo-fence breaches, SAR submissions, AI-review flags, door anomalies — so analysts always see the latest input across modules.
  • Through the companion Timeline page, plays the same events on a time axis with filters for inmate, type, severity, and date range. Hover a marker to see the source; click to open the underlying record.
  • Carries explicit HSGP, PREA, NIBRS, and ACA compliance badges in the header so the analyst knows which audit lenses apply.

How it works

Dashboard widgets are backed by Manager classes that aggregate across the IPS data tables, Threat Assessment cases, BLE events, SAR rows, and door-event streams. Refresh runs on a short interval; the timestamp under the header tells analysts how stale the view is. The Timeline page is the same data laid out chronologically with severity coloring, multi-axis filters, and click-through to each source record.

Both views are read-only — they don’t create cases or alerts of their own. They expose what already exists in the JMS model so it can be navigated, filtered, and shared without switching screens.

Data captured

  • Aggregated counts by severity, source, and time bucket
  • Open-case roster with owner, age, severity, last-event id
  • Recent-events stream with the source-record id and module of every entry
  • User-level dashboard preferences (filters, dark mode, default date range)

Compliance & retention

The Dashboard and Timeline are read surfaces — the underlying records (cases, SARs, calls, BLE events, door events) carry their own retention. Dashboard query history is retained for audit. The ThreatAssessmentCase ids that pin Threat Assessment events are the same ids the Timeline displays, so any compliance audit can pivot directly from a timeline entry to the underlying Threat Assessment case — using the real case ids 1, 2, 3 in the canonical model, not fictional 7xxx/9xxx ids that won’t satisfy the foreign key.

We rolled out something similar last year and the timeline replay feature alone has saved us countless hours during incident reviews — investigators can walk through the sequence of events without digging through stacks of paper logs. Curious whether your dashboard allows custom alert thresholds per housing unit, or if it’s a global setting across the facility.

We’ve been pushing for something exactly like this after an incident where piecing together the timeline of events took our investigators nearly two days of manual log-pulling. The chronological replay feature alone would have cut that down significantly. Does the timeline view pull from all modules or just specific intel entries?

We’ve been asking for a timeline replay feature for two years — being able to walk back through incident intel chronologically is a game changer for after-action reviews and documenting what staff knew and when. Does the dashboard pull from the same data as your existing housing and classification modules, or is it a separate intel repository?

This is exactly what we’ve been asking for — being able to flip between the dashboard summary and a timeline replay without re-pulling data is a game changer for incident reviews. My investigators spend way too much time piecing together chronologies after the fact. Does the timeline allow you to filter by individual inmate or housing unit, or is it facility-wide only?

We’ve been using a similar dual-view setup for about eight months now and the timeline replay feature alone has saved us countless hours during after-action reviews — being able to scrub back through incident escalation chronologically is a game changer. Quick question though: does your timeline support filtering by specific housing unit or classification level, or is it facility-wide only right now?

We’ve been piecing together incident timelines manually from three different logs and it takes forever — a built-in chronological replay would save my investigators a significant amount of time. Does the timeline view pull from all modules or just specific data sources?
