Intelligence Dashboard

The Intelligence Dashboard is the command center of the Fortress JMS Intelligence Suite, presenting a continuously updated, at-a-glance view of all active intelligence activity across the facility. When an intelligence officer or administrator opens the dashboard, they are immediately presented with a set of color-coded summary cards displaying counts of open SARs, unreviewed keyword hits, flagged communications, and pending AI message review items. Cards coded in amber or red indicate items requiring urgent attention, while green indicators confirm that queues are current. This visual triage system allows supervisors to assess the facility’s intelligence posture within seconds of logging in.

The central section of the dashboard displays a live activity feed showing the most recent intelligence events in chronological order. Each entry in the feed identifies the event type (keyword hit, SAR submission, call flag, or AI flag), the inmate involved, the date and time of detection, and the current disposition status. Clicking any feed entry opens the full detail record in its native sub-module — for example, clicking a keyword hit entry navigates directly to the Keyword Monitoring detail view for that specific communication. This seamless drill-down navigation eliminates the need to search across multiple modules when following up on a flagged item.

Supervisors can customize the dashboard view using the filter and sort controls located in the top-right corner of the page. Filters can be applied by housing unit, inmate classification level, alert type, or date range — allowing shift supervisors to focus exclusively on their assigned area of responsibility. The dashboard also supports a multi-facility view for regional administrators overseeing more than one correctional facility under a single Fortress JMS deployment, consolidating intelligence activity from all managed facilities into one unified feed with facility-level color coding.

All dashboard activity — including viewed records, applied filters, and drill-down navigations — is captured in the facility audit log, satisfying documentation requirements that apply when a facility operates an inmate monitoring program. The dashboard automatically refreshes at a configurable interval (default: every 60 seconds), ensuring that intelligence officers working extended shifts are always viewing current data. Facilities can also configure push notifications that alert designated personnel via in-system notification when a new high-priority intelligence item is detected, even if the recipient is not actively viewing the dashboard at that moment.
