The Fortress JMS Intelligence Suite delivers a fully integrated correctional intelligence platform designed to help facility administrators, investigators, and security personnel detect threats, monitor communications, and document suspicious behavior before incidents occur. Unlike standalone monitoring tools, the Intelligence Suite unifies six distinct operational capabilities — the live dashboard, Suspicious Activity Reports, keyword monitoring, timeline analysis, call monitoring, and AI-assisted message review — into a single coherent workflow. This integration means that a flag raised by the keyword engine automatically flows into the SAR queue and appears on the intelligence timeline without requiring any manual handoff between systems.
Accessing the suite begins with selecting Intelligence in the Fortress JMS left-side navigation panel. The module opens to the Intelligence Dashboard, which presents real-time intelligence activity across all six sub-modules in a color-coded, card-based layout visible in the screenshot above. Administrators with the Intelligence Officer or Administrator role can navigate to any sub-module using the tabbed interface at the top of the page. Each tab is independently permission-gated, allowing facilities to grant investigative staff access to, for example, SAR management and keyword monitoring without exposing the full AI review queue.
The suite is designed around a detect-review-document cycle that mirrors established correctional intelligence tradecraft. Automated detection happens continuously in the background through keyword monitoring and call analysis. Intelligence officers review flagged items through the dashboard and individual module queues, making disposition decisions (escalate, dismiss, or hold for further review) that are recorded with timestamps and officer attribution. Documentation is completed through the SAR workflow, which produces standardized reports suitable for submission to law enforcement agencies, prosecutorial offices, or internal disciplinary proceedings.
Configuration of the Intelligence Suite is handled through the system administration panel, where supervisors can define keyword lists, set alert thresholds, assign module permissions, and configure notification routing. Changes to monitoring parameters are themselves logged in the facility-wide audit trail, ensuring that adjustments to intelligence coverage cannot occur without a documented record. This audit-within-an-audit design is particularly important for facilities subject to oversight by state correctional boards or federal monitors who scrutinize whether monitoring policies are consistently enforced.
For compliance and accreditation purposes, the Intelligence Suite generates exportable activity logs, SAR indexes, keyword hit summaries, and AI review disposition records. These outputs directly support AJA accreditation standards related to inmate monitoring and threat management, as well as state-mandated intelligence reporting requirements. Facilities can schedule automated weekly or monthly intelligence summary reports for delivery to command staff, ensuring that executive leadership maintains continuous situational awareness without needing to manually query the system.
