The Intelligence Timeline module provides a chronological, event-driven view of all intelligence activity associated with one or more inmates, enabling investigators to rapidly reconstruct the sequence of behavioral and communication indicators that preceded a significant event. To open the timeline for a specific inmate, enter the inmate’s name or booking number in the search bar at the top of the Intelligence Timeline tab, then select the appropriate record from the dropdown. The timeline renders as a vertical event stream, with the most recent events at the top and a date selector on the right rail for navigating to specific periods of interest. Each event entry is color-coded by type: blue for communications events, amber for keyword hits, red for SAR entries, and gray for system-generated administrative events such as housing moves or classification changes.
The timeline view is particularly powerful for investigative use cases. When preparing for a disciplinary hearing, an investigative officer can pull the subject inmate’s timeline for the 30 days preceding the incident, immediately seeing how communication volume changed, when keyword hits occurred, whether a SAR was previously filed, and how the inmate’s housing and classification status evolved during the period. This consolidated narrative eliminates the need to manually cross-reference records from multiple modules and reduces the preparation time for formal proceedings from hours to minutes. The timeline can be filtered to show only specific event types — for example, displaying only SAR entries and keyword hits while suppressing routine administrative events — to focus the investigative review.
For complex investigations involving multiple inmates, the Intelligence Timeline supports a multi-subject comparison view. Investigators can add up to five inmates to the same timeline display, allowing side-by-side analysis of whether communication spikes, keyword hits, or behavioral flags occurred at the same time across all subjects. This capability is especially valuable for identifying coordinated gang activity, contraband distribution networks, or escape planning conspiracies where the key intelligence signal is the synchronization of events across multiple individuals rather than any single event in isolation. Adding a subject to the comparison view requires only clicking the Add Subject button and entering the second inmate’s identifier.
All timeline views are exportable as PDF or structured data files, making them suitable for inclusion in disciplinary packets, law enforcement referral packages, or accreditation documentation. The exported timeline preserves all event entries, timestamps, event types, and officer attributions in a formatted, paginated document with the facility name and report generation date on the cover page. Access to the Intelligence Timeline is permission-gated at the role level, ensuring that only authorized investigative staff and administrators can view the full cross-module intelligence history for any given inmate. All access events are recorded in the audit log, satisfying correctional industry documentation standards for inmate monitoring program oversight.
